FCMBC Praise Team Ministry (PTM) - Rehearsal: Tuesday 7:45 PM/Saturday 12 Noon
Vision Statement:
The Vision of the FCMBC Praise Team Ministry (PTM)is to glorify God THROUGH Evangelism and Emancipation by demonstrating fresh new ways of worship; inviting total congregational participation; thusly “freeing people” to worship God in spirit and truth for the enhancement of the total worship service.
The mission of the FCMBC Praise Team is to lead, guide, demonstrate and live what true worship is all about and to work as a team with the pastor, director, minister of music, musicians, and church to provide an ongoing spirit-filled worship experience that brings Glory to God!
Goals of the Ministry
1. Minister first unto the Lord.
2. Set the tone for the worship experience.
3. Lead others into the presence of God.
4. Give no glory to Satan but bind powers that hinder the flow of worship.
5. Lift heavy burdens, refresh people, bring healing (I Sam. 16:23)
6. Provide active participatory songs to motivate congregation
7. Bring Glory to God by ascending into His presence in the time provided.
In order to become a member of the choir, we ask that you be a professing Christian, a member of First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, attend Tuesday/Saturday rehearsals, and give prayerful consideration to giving your time and talent to the Lord through the ministry of music.
Praise Teams are not about performing…they are about worshiping a Holy God and through our example of worship, we encourage our church family to enter into the awesome presence of God.
PRAISE TEAM MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS:
Every Praise Team member should sense a calling by God to be a worship leader in our congregation.
